Supporter Dues

Supporter dues enable MHNSEF to buy and maintain equipment to groom the Mount Haggin ski trails, the Moulton ski trails and Stodden Park.

Since the sweat equity criterion is rather narrow, we need to actively raise funds for grant matching and ineligible operating expenses. We have 4 ways to generate funds:

  1. Supporter dues
  2. Our annual Ski Ball
  3. Outright donations
  4. Grants

Donation Matching

As a nonprofit we are able to submit matching grant requests under the federal Recreational Trails Fund program, which is administered by Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. Currently the match requirement is 20%, which can be either cash or sweat equity. In the past this has enabled MHNSEF to make big improvements in grooming equipment.

Volunteer Opportunities

In addition to joining the Foundation, please consider volunteering to groom trails, help with the Ski Ball or write grants. Other fun volunteer opportunities are helping with ‘Learn to Ski Days’, teaching youths to ski or trail clearing.
