Trails

The trails, set in dense lodgepole forest with short traverses through open meadows, are narrow, which makes for an intimate ski experience that lends itself to classic technique. Skate skiers are welcome. The terrain is hilly with challenging climbs and fast downhills. The easiest route is Neversweat as an out-and-back. The loop at the end of Neversweat has a grand vista point with a view of the Yankee Doodle Tailings Pond and the Highland Mountains far to the south.

Please be advised that the access trail (Main Shaft) is a 0.9 km private road, used by residents. Although it is skiable, it is now plowed for resident access. You may encounter land-owner vehicles on the access road. Please be respectful of the private landowners.

These trails are located on Beaverhead-Deer Lodge National Forest and are provided through cooperation between the National Forest Service and volunteers of the Club.
